SFMOMa part.02


SFmoma's structure as we can see is very solid and rough. It's like putting a box upon each other and by brick with color brown- plus the edge, which is a hard element help to create the "mass" of the bulding.

Museum of Modern art. /Part. 01



Last time in class we had to chose one building for our Project and each week we have to write about it. So this week i went to the museum of modern art, was built by Mario Botta. His building is a challenge of the new and unexpected, it's encourage the way of thinking , seeing of the "Old" and the "new". When I looked at this building, I could see and feel that: balance, earthy, hard, smooth, and volume. I described it as: attractiveness

Book presentation 09/02/09


Our first book of this class is experiencing architecture. We divided into 4 groups and my group had to do chapter 1: basic observations. Here is the picture that explains what i think about the basic; it simply from a lot of ideas from the past, then all of them form into a specific rule or law then from it, it's spreading out and become new ideas but the root is still from the basic, which is the past, just like the river. They are connecting and supporting to each other but never have the same result over and over again.

In-class assignment 08/26/09


So our class is really begun, i feel kind of excited about what i will learn from everyone else. The teacher gave us a first assignment that drew our partner, and we had to draw it fast. We talked about the "line" and why it's so important, it's for to describe the edge and it can help to create more different types of mood. After that he asked us described our picture, what we think about it, how do we feel, see about it, and this is how i described my picture.
